Well we finally got to see the first children, and we get to see that their relationship with the POTUS is not ideal. I don't know if we will be seing more of them this season, but it would be interesting to see how they deal with everything that is going on; Both their parents having affairs. 
We also got to see more of Olivia's parents, and bits of all the different plots that are going on. 
Lets not forget this show is the king of plot twists that lead to oh so many plot lines, we have: the reelection campaign, Olivia's terrorist mom working with Harrison's criminal ex, Ex-Command out for revenge, Sally going against Fitz, B613, Mellie and Andrew, and so on. So we can only hope to see how it ALL develops, and what are all this bad guys up to.
Personally I think they wouldn't have so many problems if they could keep their pants on, or at least be a bit more careful.
